SOHO Makeup Studio
SoHo Makeup Studio is a makeup studio in South Tampa specializing in high-end, super fashionable makeup by brands like Stefan Marais. They approached us to do a site for them that had a “hip look” to it, and this is what we came up with. We built mastheads using models from the studio’s portfolio in order to capture some of the uniqueness (is that a word?) the store had to offer.
It also happens to be php/mysql-driven with a custom CMS.
Unfortunately, the store changed ownership literally a day before we were going to take it live, and we never got a chance to.
We still like it, even if it never technically made it out of testing.
We also did custom illustrated banners for the reopening that happened right before the reclosing that also happened (see: the giant “We’re open” talking head thing).
